Rishabh Srivastava is a Maritime Lawyer in Mumbai specialising in Ship Arrest, Maritime Arbitration, Dry & Wet cargo claims, P&I Insurance, and other shipping-related disputes. Ever since his law school days, Rishabh has been fascinated by the shipping/maritime sector and the laws that govern it. The various domestic and international jurisdictions/conventions/protocols involved in each shipping dispute case make it interesting and different at the same time. As maritime law is still a niche subject and not being taught in law schools, it becomes tough for students to find one particular source to introduce them to this subject and develop interest. While studying this law and doing internships in various maritime law firms across the country, Rishabh found that the currently available sources are either too deep or too detailed for a student just wanting to get into this area of law to understand the subject. So he planned to write a book introducing Maritime Law to beginners and students who are just entering this area of law to help them understand the various facets of Maritime/Admiralty Law
easily. He hopes the book helps the readers and guides more people to take an interest in Maritime Law.
